Huey Morgan absolutely blew away the sold out crowd at The 100 Club on Saturday night. Unlike tribute bands of the same name, the original Fun Lovin’ Criminal played an amazing set of classics full of soul and heart that kept the crowd bouncing from start to finish. From the soaring riffs of Loco to the classic tracks Fun Lovin’ Criminal and Scooby Snacks, Huey’s return to live performance was nothing short of magnificent. Long live the King of New York!

Nothing average about Average White Band, who played a packed out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Thursday. Catchy tracks of better times had everyone out their seats, and even after nearly fifty years on the road - the band sound tight, vocals on point, and only the RAH staff were left to Pick Up The Pieces.

Beaux Gris Gris and The Apocalypse just keep turning it up past 11 with their eclectic mid of blues, rock and creole! This was an amazing evening at The Red Arrows Music Club in Ramsgate, an electric social club with the most wonderful guests and members, I’ll certainly be making another trip down. Also, wonderful seeing Joff Watkins of Jimmy Regal and The Royals joining the stage for a track, including a fantastic guitar v harmonica showdown!

Opening the night for Happy Mondays at Troxy, the incredible talent of Rob Birch on mic, Cathy Coffey’s vocals, Nick Hallam’s DJ skills and Tansay Omar on beats combined to bring a sound no less punchy and authentic as their original run in the late 80’s. Exceeding any warm up expectations, the crowd were jumping from the get go.
