Buddy Guy is a legend of the blues world. At 85 years young he carries the torch for the blues for seventy years. Born under segregation, and losing his mother at an early age set him on the path for the blues. Once he had a guitar and made his way to Chicago he was destined for greatness. Starting as a house musician, he would work with legends such as Muddy Waters and Junior Wells. Next, go solo and play electric blues that influence everyone from Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and the Rolling Stones.
Today he still tours, keeping the blues alive for younger generations. He is also helping the stars of tomorrow rise, such as Quinn Sullivan and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. He is still releasing music today, with his new album “The Blues Don’t Lie”.
