Another throwback to last year, during my exile I was so happy when Jimmy Regal and The Royals came up and played The Stables MK. Loved these guys from the first time I saw them, those howling harmonicas and rhythmic riffs touring through roots, blues and americana while keeping a genuine connection to the music of New Orleans and the south. Another look back of sorts, had a great evening with Thomas Heppell at his last band show of 2024 at The Sound Lounge. I’ve only been around Thomas for two years now and it’s incredible seeing how much he is growing as an artist and performer. 2025 is going to be a big year for him, so make sure you catch him on his current tour, or supporting the incredible Dom Martin at the latter half of spring.

Also pictured is Greg Brice who opened for Thomas that night. Fantastically authentic feel for rag time blues. Really made for a fantastic evening.

Oh man, Robert Jon and The Wreck aren’t just ones to watch anymore, they are slaying at a whole new level.

Not only was their gig at Islington Assembly Hall incredible, but the whole day was fantastic hanging out with them and @blackhamimages, not to mention Joe Coombs guesting and These Wicked Rivers on support. One of the gigs of the year, without a doubt.

Apologies for the radio silence over the last few weeks. Life threw in some extra hurdles that I’ve been navigating, but coming out on top! Now that’s I’m permanently back in London and have a functioning internet connection - let’s get back up to speed! Plenty of photos on their way over the coming weeks!
